This is a quick bread with cornmeal which is sugar free and gluten free. In original recipe white cornmeal is used and no sugars added. These corn breads are soft enough to eat with a spoon , served with any main dish like chicken , ham or sprinkle with grated cheese or add a dollop of sour cream.

In a medium bowl beat egg, buttermilk, butter, soda and salt, add to the cornmeal mixture and mix well.
