Banana Chips/Plantain Chips
Ingredients
- 2 Raw Plantains/Banana
- Oil for frying
- salt, as needed
Directions
Heat the oil in a frying pan to about 375 degree F. Peel of the skin from the banana and slice it directly into
the oil using a vegetable slicer. Stir to prevent the chips from sticking each other. Remove from oil when the color turns to light yellow, and keep on a cooling rack or kitchen towel. It is important to remove from the oil when the color turns as the chips will continue to cook and will turn bright yellow after by the time it is cooled down. Sprinkle salt if required.
