Shrikhand Recipe - Quick and Easy Diwali Sweet
Ingredients
Directions
Place a large bowl under the sieve lined with kitchen papers or cheesecloth and pour in yogurt. Refrigerate for 5 to 6 hours or overnight to allow the liquid to drain off the yogurt. Dissolve the saffron strands in warm milk and keep aside for 5 to 10 minutes, this will give a nice yellow color and flavor to the milk. Remove the yogurt from the refrigerator. To this add powdered sugar, saffron milk, few pistachios and fresh cardamom powder. Mix everything well. Cover and chill in the refrigerator. Garnish with more pistachios before serving. Serve with roti, poori or enjoy as a dessert after dinner....
