Dates Fritters/ Eethapazham Fry
Dates Fritters are one of the most popular quick tea time snacks in Kerala after
Pazham Pori( Banana Fritters).
Ingredients
- 5 to 10 dates, seedless
- 1/2 to3/4 cup all pupose flour
- baking powder, a pinch
- salt, a pinch
- water, as needed
- oil, to fry
- 1/4 cup fresh grated coconuts(optional)
Directions
Make a smooth batter with flour, salt, baking powder and water. To this add coconuts, mix well. Dip dates in batter and deep fry till golden brown. Serve with Tea or Coffee
I'm pretty sure you could deep fry anything and it would be good! These look fantastic!

Oooh! fritters with dates, that looks so crispy and yummy. I used to make these only with bananas.
