Dates Fritters/ Eethapazham Fry


Dates Fritters are one of the most popular quick  tea time snacks in Kerala after Pazham Pori( Banana Fritters).


Ingredients
  • 5 to 10 dates, seedless
  • 1/2 to3/4 cup all pupose flour
  • baking powder, a pinch
  • salt, a pinch
  • water, as needed
  • oil, to fry
  • 1/4 cup fresh grated coconuts(optional)


Directions


      Make a smooth batter with flour, salt, baking powder and water. To this add coconuts, mix well. Dip dates in batter and deep fry till golden brown. Serve with Tea or Coffee
