Egg Puffs
Try this easy egg puffs, if you have extra
puff pastry sheets at home.
Ingredients'
- Puff pastry sheet -1
- Boiled eggs - 3
- Egg yolk - from egg
- Onion - 2 medium cut into thin pieces.
- Cut Vegetable - 1 cup(Carrot, green peas, green beans etc).
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Directions
Keep the puff pastry sheet at room temperature for 30 minutes, until it is ready to be rolled.
Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions and vegetables with the turmeric and chilli powder(You can add green chillies, meat masala etc according to your taste) until the vegetables are soft and stays together.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into 6 pieces(each peiece must be sufficient to cover an egg). Add a large spoon of cooked vegetables and half of a boiled egg. Cover the contents with the sides of the pastry sheet. Apply water on the sides of the pastry sheet to make them hold together.
Prepare egg wash by mixing the yolk with 1 tsp of water and apply on top of the prepared pastry sheet. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 18- 22 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
