- 1 1/2 cups banana flower, chopped finely
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp grated garlic
- 1-2 slit green chillies
- 1 tsp par boiled rice
- 2 tbs grated coconuts
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- curry leaves
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
Direction
Wash the banana flowers adding a pinch of turmeric powder in water
and drain well . Add turmeric powder,onions, garlic, salt,green chilies,coconuts
and curry leaves, mix everything together and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan,
splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds and rice. Now add banana flower mixture,
mix well and bring the mixture to the center and cook on low heat covered till
done. serve with rice.

Banana Flowers sound very interesting! In Colombia we use banana leaves in our cuisine .........I would love to try the flowers too.
