Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a bowl sift together flour, half of the sugar and keep aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer beat egg whites with vanilla and cream of tartar until soft medium peaks form. Now add the remaining sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form. To this gently fold the flour mixture using a rubber spatula. Bake for 12-15 minutes . Serve with whipped frosting.
eeeeeeeeeeehhh...u r a genius with cakes. one question. This cake flour..is this our cake mix or any other special kind of flour.I am guessing we can find it in the baking aisle??
fantastic..thanks for sharing.. I am writing it down right away. I have been wanting to make some sponge cake and since my recipe calls for 6 egg yolks and no whites I kept putting it away. Wasting the whites were weighing heavily on my conscience. Now I have this recipe which calls only for the whites!
