Mambazha Pulissery/Ripe Mango Curry
Ingredients
- 1 cup ripe mangoes
- 1/2 cup thick beaten yogurt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 green chilli
To grind
- 3/4 cup coconut
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 green chilli
To garnish
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 to 3 shallots
- curry leaves, fewfenugreek powder(roasted and ground)
- 1 to 2 red chillies
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Directions
Cook mangoes adding turmeric, water,salt and green chilli. Once cooked add ground coconut paste. Cook for few more minutes.Turn off the heat .Heat oil in a small pan and splutter mustard seeds followed by cumin seeds,curry leaves, red chiliies ,shallots and and fenugreek powder.Pour this over the mango curry. To this add beaten yogurt and mix well. serve with rice.
Curry looks fabulous! do you still find ripe mangoes there?
