Ingredients
- Young Jack Fruit - 1 Can
- Onion - 1 small , thinly sliced
- Fresh coconut - 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garlic cloves - 2 crushed
- Vegetable oil - 2 tsp
Directions
Remove the Jack fruit from can and drain water. Remove the center chewy part of the Jack fruit slices. (If you are using fresh young Jack fruit, remove the outer layer and then cut it into slices and remove cenetr part). Boil the jackfruit pieces in water and little bit salt for about 5 minutes, until it is soft. Remove the pieces from water and drain the excess water. Let the jack fruit slices to cool down and the split them into thin pieces by hand or using a fork. Add the sliced onion, coconut , red chilli powder, garlic and salt. Mix well. Heat about 2 tsp of vegitable oil in a pan and when the oil is hot add the prepared mixture and stir fry it for 4-5 minutes. Do not make a it very dry, but remove the excess water only.
