Ingredients
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter,room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pour the boiling water over chocolate cocoa powder mixture and set aside to
melt completely. In another bowl sift the flour ,baking soda,baking powder and salt , set aside. Now cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until the mixture is fluffy. Add the eggs,one at a time mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and chocolate cocoa mixture and beat to combine. Now add the flour mixture and beat until all the ingredients are incorporated. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Wow the cake looks delicious :) Loved the frosting too and decoration..looks very professional :)
